A dark painting that hints on my dark side. The background is inspired by a recent German fiction series. The blueish light distinguishes the dome shape, the earthy colours of the racks moves from dark grey to brown and subtle ochre to support the feeling of depth. The help lines of this one-point perspective have a hidden goal linked to the lady. She is added to bring mystery and colour into the composition. Her outfit is a splendid creation of world famous fashion designer Dries Van Noten.

NL- Ik heb behoorlijk lang gewerkt aan dit schilderij, vooral om de dramatische lichtinval goed te krijgen. De achtergrond is geïnspireerd op een Duitse serie die ik recent zag op Netflix. De dame op de voorgrond, die ik gemakshalve Olga Masnik zal noemen, is toegevoegd om kleur te brengen in de compositie. Ze draagt een kostuum ontworpen door één van de vijf Antwerpse mode iconen, Dries Van Noten die ik erg bewonder.
